Many people think that when they sign a Patient Advodate at the hospital they are protected even after their hospital stay.  Well the reality is those documents that you signed at the hospital are only temporary and are not valid beyond the end of that particular hospital stay. 

Having a Patient Advocate is extremely important and can help you and your family avoid having to file for guardianship in probate court and paying hundreds of dollars involving a probate court matter.
